Went here with my partner and parents for dinner. The crispy chicken was well made and tender and crispy. We also ordered beef pho, dried beef noodles and a pork vermicelli dish, which tasted average.
We ordered some food for dine in and some food to takeaway. My mother placed the order with the waitress, but there was a bit of confusion with the order, so she came back to clarify. My mum repeated the order again, but the waitress still seemed a bit confused so my mum asked her for the notepad so she could write down the dishes we wanted to have at the restaurant, and the ones we wanted to takeaway to try and make it easier for her. Despite the confusion, I didn't think it was a big deal and the waitress was happy for my mum to do that. The frustrating part was when this younger male staff member (wearing a nike jumper) came over, looked at my partner and I and asked us in an accusatory tone why we didn't place the order when we can speak english. He said it would have been easier for the waitress if we had ordered instead. He did this in a really rude way, which just made us all uncomfortable, and it was difficult to enjoy the meal after that. He also made the assumption that the confusion around the order was due to my Chinese parents not being able to speak English well, even though my parents speak English pretty fluently. The service from the waitress was fine as she was friendly when we arrived at left.
